It's been a wild ride in 2011 and we're anticipating 2012 to be more of the same!

 

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A BLOCK OF THE MONTH?

It's not too late to join us in "Love Letters," a 7-month club; there are spaces available in the "Urban Cosmos" color way (dark brown, fuschia, cream and some gold for good measure!) There is also one spot left in Moda's "Etchings" color way. "Love Letters" meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11am or 6pm with Cynthy. Call the shop or stop by for more information! Watch for "Women of Courage" in June.

 

TUFFETS ANYONE?

You've seen the samples in the shop---well, we're now going to offer the class! We are offering the Tuffet Class on the last 2 Tuesdays of January (24th and 31st) from 6-9pm. We are offering it again on the last 2 Tuesdays of February (21st and 28th) also from 6-9pm. The first session you'll start sewing the tuffet top and the second session will be putting it all together (putting the "insides" in). When you leave after the 2nd class, your tuffet will be all ready to use!

 

We are TIRED of football weekends and spouses that hog the TV's remote control during football months! To celebrate the return of the remote control and all talk of football, we are hosting our annual SUPER BOLT WEEKEND PARTY!

Join us on Saturday and Sunday, February 4-5, 2012 for a fun-filled party...and we do it right!

You'll find our Fat Quarterback Sale (25 cents off all Fat Quarters), our End Zone (end of bolts that must go!), our 50 Yard Line (regular sale fabric and remnants are 50% off), plus snackies and a coupon for every shopper! We'll have special prices on fabric colors of whatever teams end up playing. And like the TV commercial says, "All the Fun You Can Have and Still be Legal -- Priceless."

Coming in June is "Women of Courage."

This is Windham Fabrics' latest collection by Nancy Gere™ and designed by Denice Lipscomb. The Women of Courage fabric collection has luscious floral prints, beautiful tonal blenders and a breathtaking color palette of brown, tan, red, teal and green. The 12 month BOM is special because each block from the program corresponds to a brave and courageous woman in world history. Together, they create a spectacular Block of the Month. Enjoy learning a little bit about history as you sew with this gorgeous collection. The completed quilt top is 98" x 98".

 

OPEN RETREAT SCHEDULED!

We've been asked when we're having another Open Retreat -- and we found a weekend to schedule one....WOOO HOOOOO!

So here we go: Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 8-10, 2012. Come by yourself or with a friend (and you'll make new quilting friends!) We'll do a quick make and take on Saturday morning for you and the rest of the time you can work on whatever you want. If you don't have a project to work on, we can sure help with that! $175 per person for the 3 day/2 night retreat and we'll provide Friday dinner for you.
